Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Superintendent / Project Manager to oversee field operations and coordinate project execution from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can balance field supervision with construction management responsibilities — ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards
Job Responsibilities:
Field Supervision
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
- Open and secure the job site daily, maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel, ensuring scope and schedule alignment.
- Lead weekly job site meetings and maintain detailed daily reports, including photos and progress logs.
- Identify and resolve field conflicts, discrepancies, or delays before they impact the project timeline or budget.
- Coordinate required inspections with local agencies, consultants, and third-party inspectors.
- Verify that all work meets specifications and is ready for sign-off at each phase.
- Oversee punch list completion and project closeout activities.
Construction Management
- Develop and update 2–3 week look-ahead schedules in coordination with the project management team.
- Assist with bid reviews, scope comparisons, and subcontractor selections.
- Submit change orders, RFIs, and submittals in a timely manner
- Track RFIs, submittals, and change orders in coordination with the project management team.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills; able to troubleshoot field issues and develop practical, cost-effective solutions independently
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3–7 years of experience in construction supervision, project coordination, or construction management
- Solid understanding of construction practices, building codes, and the ability to accurately interpret plans and specifications
- Proficient with construction management and project coordination tools
- Proficient in scheduling, document control, and field reporting
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with owners, consultants, and field personnel.
- Self-starter with a solutions-oriented mindset; able to troubleshoot issues and drive projects forward under minimal supervision.
