What You Will Be Doing
As a Staff Accountant, you will be a key contributor to our daily accounting operations and month-end close. Your work will help ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting and support the smooth functioning of the department. In this role, you will:
- Prepare and record journal entries with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and update the fixed asset system
- Manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines
- Generate internal and external financial reports
- Cross-train and provide backup support for various accounting functions
- Assist in implementing and maintaining strong internal controls
- Support continuous improvement of the month-end close process
- Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned
What You Will Bring
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; equivalent experience considered
Experience:
- 3 years of professional accounting experience
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong 10-key skills
- Experience with Sage Intacct or Bill.com is a plus
- Comfort working with databases and accounting applications
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and strong organizational habits
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates at all levels
