Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension work, and hydraulic system servicing
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during repair or testing procedures
- Troubleshoot electrical systems including automotive electrical systems repair and automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs performed on various vehicle systems
- Assist with assembly, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
Requirements
- Familiarity with heavy truck repair, diesel engine repair, transmissions, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and wheel alignment techniques
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance including air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and tire service
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting safely
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems repair along with general mechanical systems repair skills
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Repair and replace components such as brakes, air brake systems, and other essential parts.
- Operate heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks associated with equipment repair and maintenance.
