Bad Rabbit Café at Terlingua Ranch Lodge is looking for a hands-on Café Manager to oversee daily operations, lead our team, and help create a memorable experience for guests visiting one of the most unique destinations in Texas.
This is not a desk job. The ideal candidate enjoys working alongside their team, solving problems, building community, and taking ownership of their operation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all café operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness to ensure smooth daily functioning
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to build a motivated and efficient team
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food stock levels using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of food handling and hygiene
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
- Monitor shift performance, address customer concerns promptly, and uphold excellent customer service standards
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and quality control
Requirements
The Café Manager must possess:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous restaurant, café, bar, or hospitality management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Ability to obtain and maintain Food Handler and TABC certifications
