Position Title: Store Manager
Department: Operations
Reports To: Area Manager / District Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt (Based on State & Federal Regulations)
Position Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including team leadership, customer service, food quality, financial performance, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and equipment maintenance. The Store Manager is expected to lead by example, ensure operational excellence, and drive the restaurant's profitability while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and guest satisfaction.
1. Leadership & Team Management
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain qualified restaurant team members.
- Train, coach, and develop employees in accordance with company standards and SOPs.
- Build a positive, respectful, and performance-driven work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
- Manage attendance, disciplinary actions, documentation, and conflict resolution.
- Develop future leaders by mentoring high-potential employees.
2. Employee Relations & Separation Management
- Manage employee separations professionally and in accordance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Conduct employee counseling, coaching, and corrective action when performance or conduct issues arise.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to employee performance, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Coordinate voluntary resignations, ensuring proper offboarding procedures, return of company property, and completion of required documentation.
- Recommend and execute employee terminations, when appropriate, in consultation with the Area Manager and HR, ensuring fairness, consistency, and legal compliance.
