Front End Cashier

Job Summary
As a Front End Cashier, you will be the friendly face that greets customers and ensures a smooth, efficient checkout experience. You will handle transactions accurately, assist with meals, and contribute to the overall dining experience by providing exceptional customer service. Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy and speed
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information or demonstrations when needed
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and accountability
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring meals are properly curated
• Assist in stocking shelves, organizing.
• Upsell relevant products or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Manage phone etiquette professionally when assisting customers over the phone or taking inquiries
• Support inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandising efforts
• Ensure compliance with store policies regarding cash handling, safety procedures, and customer privacy

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store setting
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team coordination or training new staff
• Bilingual skills to serve diverse customer needs effectively are highly valued
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers confidently and clearly
• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to perform basic math quickly for cash register operations and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of rtestaurant store operations including stocking, merchandising, and inventory management
• Experience in sales techniques
• Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
