Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Insurance Specialist to support risk management and insurance operations for Terawulf’s energy and digital infrastructure assets. This role is responsible for administering insurance programs, managing claims, and ensuring appropriate coverage across data centers, energy assets, and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Management: Oversee insurance processes, including policy evaluations, renewals, and claims management.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting project progress, financial performance, and key insights.
- Administer and maintain corporate insurance programs covering property, casualty, liability, and construction-related risks across data center and energy infrastructure assets
- Coordinate insurance requirements for large-scale infrastructure projects, including development, construction, and operational phases
- Manage claims from initiation through resolution, working with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Review contracts (e.g., vendor, construction, lease agreements) to ensure appropriate insurance requirements and risk transfer provisions
- Partner with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) to assess and mitigate risk exposure across facilities and projects
- Support procurement and renewal of insurance policies, including data gathering, underwriting submissions, and market comparisons
- Track and analyze claims trends, identifying opportunities to reduce risk and improve cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of experience in insurance, risk management, or infrastructure-related coverage (energy, construction, or data centers preferred)
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance lines (property, general liability, builder’s risk, etc.)
- Knowledge of construction insurance and project-based coverage structures
- Experience working with brokers, carriers, and complex insurance programs
- Ability to interpret contracts and insurance provisions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Salary (Depending on Experience): Starting at $115,000
