Principal Product Manager - AI Marketplace

What you will do:

As a senior product leader, you will drive the creation of Teradata’s next-generation AI Marketplace from the ground up, redefining how AI/ML technologies are integrated into our global portfolio of enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms. Based in India, you will architect and lead the strategy for a groundbreaking AI Marketplace that empowers customers to leverage Teradata’s VantageCloud and data warehouse capabilities through innovative AI-driven solutions.

• Vision and Strategy: Define and champion the vision for the Teradata AI Marketplace, creating a scalable, enterprise-grade platform that enables seamless discovery, deployment, and management of AI models, tools, and applications.
• Marketplace Development: Lead the end-to-end development of the AI Marketplace, from conceptualization to launch, ensuring it delivers a robust ecosystem tailored for enterprise data and analytics workloads.
• AI Integration: Shape how AI/ML technologies are embedded into the Marketplace, enabling customers to harness VantageCloud and data warehouse capabilities for advanced insights, automation, and intelligent applications.
• Roadmap Leadership: Set and own the product roadmap for the AI Marketplace, balancing cutting-edge innovation with enterprise requirements for performance, governance, and compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global engineering, data science, UX, and go-to-market teams to build a secure, intuitive, and high-performance Marketplace that meets enterprise needs.
• Customer-Centric Design: Engage with customers to understand their challenges and needs, ensuring the Marketplace delivers measurable value for mission-critical AI workloads in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Ecosystem Development: Build and nurture partnerships with AI vendors, developers, and third-party providers to create a vibrant Marketplace ecosystem, driving adoption and innovation.

Who you will work with:

On our team, we collaborate with engineering, cloud infrastructure, data science, UX, and governance functions to bring next-generation AI capabilities into Teradata’s enterprise ecosystem. We are responsible for the product vision, roadmap, and execution of AI initiatives, ensuring they meet both business and technical objectives.

This role reports to the SVP of Product Engineering and will partner closely with product engineering and platform leaders worldwide. You will act as a strategic AI product leader for Teradata, influencing global product direction.

What makes you a qualified candidate:

• Degree from top tier IIT in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred).
• 15 years of product management experience, including 5 years leading AI/ML or advanced analytics products.
• Deep technical expertise in AI/ML concepts including LLMs, foundation models, supervised/unsupervised learning, fine-tuning, inference pipelines, and multi-modal AI.
• Proven success embedding AI into enterprise-scale platforms, especially in data management, analytics, or cloud environments.
• Strong technical fluency with AI infrastructure — including distributed training, inference optimization, GPU/accelerator integration, and workload orchestration.
• Experience defining APIs, SDKs, and developer integrations for enterprise AI adoption.
• Demonstrated knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures and their impact on AI performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with governance and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2) and applying them to AI/ML solutions.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders and articulate AI product strategy.
• Track record of customer engagement, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking in enterprise software.

• Expertise in optimizing AI workloads across cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring cost-efficiency and performance at scale.
• Hands-on knowledge of GPU, TPU, and emerging accelerator technologies for training, inference, and fine-tuning AI models.
• Ability to bridge AI model development with structured and unstructured enterprise data at petabyte scale.
• A strong understanding of responsible AI, including fairness, explainability, auditability, and bias detection.
• Vision to anticipate industry trends and position Teradata’s AI offerings as differentiated and enterprise-ready.
• Passion for enabling intuitive, AI-powered user experiences (e.g., natural language query, automated insights, intelligent automation).
• Ability to operate as a senior executive IC — setting strategy, guiding technical direction, and influencing globally without direct people management responsibilities.
