Mover - Helper

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Load and unload vehicles by hand or by use of a hand truck or dolly.
- Wrap furniture with blankets, shrink wrap and other materials to prevent damages.
- Wrap dishes and fragile items in packing paper and pack them into containers.
- Stack and secure items in position on trucks to prevent damage during shipment.
- Assist in cleaning trucks, tools, work areas and equipment.
- Collect and remove all company provided materials, tools and trash from client’s home.
- Know and follow all safety rules and safe practices.
- Have knowledge of and use industry-accepted processes for furniture and equipment handling.
- Wear uniform including all required safety items.
- Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma, GED, college/technical school, previous related work experience are all preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, policies, handbook contents, work rules. Ability to operate smart phone applications required for communication and access of work related information
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, picture or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand/foot/eye coordination, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move in excess of 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high temperatures, windy, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibrations. Moderate noise level. Exposure to pests, allergic substances, virus and other health related hazards and hazardous conditions of co-workers, clients, and physical property and possessions.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
