Supervisor

Job Experience

Directs the activities of a specific production department in an efficient manner to produce the desired quality and quantity of work.

Directs the work of assigned group leader (s) in the department

Supervises the activities of group leaders and production technicians

Confers with production manager and production control to establish work schedules and follows up to assure completion of those schedules.

Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.

Assures that equipment and tools are properly maintained and preventive maintenance is performed to assure efficient production.

Assure efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods and elimination of wasteful practices.

Establish and maintain good employee relations and adherence to proper judicious disciplinary measures when required.

Responsible for reviewing and administering employee performance evaluations and recommendations.

Supports the implementation, achievement and maintenance of Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.

Must be able and capable to work any shift assigned and must be able to work overtime as required.

Requirements:

Supervisory skills Ability to calculate simple %age calculations Good oral communication skills and presentation ability.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· High School Education, college preferred.

· One to three years of supervisors related experience

SKILLS:

· Basic computer skill required for email and excel spreadsheets

TRAINING SPECIFIC TO PLACEMENT INTO POSITION:

OTHER:

· Excellent interpersonal skills.
