The Tepa Companies are seeking a Project Manager will manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. The Project Manager will establish and manage staff for each phase of the project(s). The Project Manager is responsible for identifying and resolving project performance and personnel problems, complying with all Tepa and client project management policies and procedures, managing project budgets, deadlines and deliverables, and executing projects per executed agreements. Project Managers also participate in and often lead proposal writing, cost estimation, resource planning, contract reviews, and client and subcontractor relationship management. While not a traditional “sales” role, Project Managers are key to obtaining customer satisfaction, growing customer relationships, and expanding our business opportunities with our clientele.

Job Functions:
- Manages multiple projects, client and subcontractor relationships, and project staff.
- Secures subcontractor pricing, project specifications, and task schedule coordination.
- Directly manage teams of people who often work on multiple projects from different physical locations and time zones.
- Coordinates, leads, and participates in project and technology-related meetings and conference calls.
- Tracks and runs monthly financials on projects, along with weekly and monthly status reports.
- Participates in regularly scheduled financial Program Reviews and provides project financial information as requested.
- Contributes to all team efforts by taking ownership of assigned tasks and duties and is fully transparent and accountable for the successful performance of assigned tasks.
- Performs all duties with the highest possible degree of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Focuses particular attention on developing and maintaining client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction through the production of superior quality deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Develops and outlines work processes and procedures.
- Communicates with subcontractors to outline tasks and delivery schedules.
- Develops estimates and proposals.
- Develops deeper relationships with current clients and upsells where appropriate.
- Provides well-informed input into teaming discussions, marketing activities, and sales strategies for the types of projects, clients, and markets that they specialize in managing.
- Ensure timely approval and submission of invoices to clients and prime contractors in compliance with Tepa’s financial calendar
- Works with clients to resolve payment of invoices, gain acceptance of deliverables, and other business necessities related to the management of their projects.
- Travels to client and project sites as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, Transportation Working Identification Card(TWIC) or similar, which typically requires proof of U.S. Citizenship and a background check
- 1-3years of successful experience working as a technical Project Manager in a technology consulting organization
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously
- History of successful interaction with people of widely varying technical knowledge, such as IT administrators, end users, managers, and decision makers
- Solid understanding of project financials, project management practices, and customer service
- Experience managing highly technical projects such as GIS data capture/creation/conversion, geospatial workflow automation, creating/configuring web viewer applications, federal/defense technical training projects, etc.
- Previous experience performing technical work on the types of projects you manage to provide context for Project Management decisions (e.g., working as a GIS Analyst or Solutions Engineer, Reality Capture Specialist, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adjust terminology and tone for a variety of different types of audiences
- Ability to prioritize required tasks to meet multiple stringent schedule deadlines
- Solid understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
- Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
- Experience using Project Management Software to plan projects and schedule resources (e.g., Microsoft Project, Zoho Projects, Primavera P6, etc.)
- Strong Microsoft Excel Expertise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for requirements gathering, system documentation, training, and other collaborative activities
- 5 years of experience in increasingly advanced geospatial/GIS technical leadership positions
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent
- Experience with two or more of the following types of technical projects: federal, local government, seaport, water utility, and/or reality capture geospatial projects
- Experience performing or leading Geospatial System integration activities
- Experience with WAWF or IPP federal invoicing systems
- GIS Consulting experience
- Significant technical experience with the Esri-based (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, etc.) and other relevant geospatial technology tools (e.g., Reality Capture, AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM, image processing, etc.)
- Experience with mobile and field data capture technologies (e.g., GPS, Lidar, Esri Field Maps, etc.)
- Experience with Enterprise IT processes, systems, and terminology
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system(e.g., Costpoint/Deltek, Unanet, etc.)
- Esri Associate or Professional-level certifications
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
