Senior Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support accounting operations. This role combines strong technical accounting expertise with advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable closing the books and analyzing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Participate in monthly close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Analyze variances and investigate unusual fluctuations
• Support external audit process
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
• Serve as a resource and mentor to junior accounting staff
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting, FP&A, or corporate finance
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Advanced Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables, data analysis)
• Experience with ERP and reporting systems (NetSuite, SAP, etc.)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
