What You’ll Do
- Serve as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all medical and religious accommodation requests
- Lead and facilitate the interactive accommodation process directly with employees
- Review, assess, and respond to accommodation requests in a high-volume environment with strong attention to turnaround time. Strong focus on quick turnaround times and consistent, compliant decision-making
- Partner closely with HR, leadership, and legal to determine appropriate, compliant solutions
- Facilitate sensitive, confidential conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Document all decisions and communications accurately and consistently
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner
- Contribute to process improvements and policy refinements related to accommodation practices
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of relevant HR experience
- Background in one or more of the following areas:
- HR benefits administration
- Disability or leave management
- Broader HR roles with responsibility for accommodations, employee relations, risk assessment, or performance
- Working knowledge of accommodation and leave processes, including familiarity with ADA, FMLA, and Title VII frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to assess risk across accommodation, leave, and broader HR considerations
- Highly organized with proven ability to manage high request volumes and competing priorities
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion
- Collaborative, professional, and detail-oriented approach to cross-functional work
- Empathetic communication style with the ability to hold firm on compliant outcomes
Work Location
- Onsite 3 days per week at our Rockville, MD office (hybrid schedule REQUIRED)
- W2 contract engagement. C2C arrangements are not available. This has the opportunity to be a long term contract & has the potential to possibly convert to perm with our client.
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role
- Hourly rate: $35–$40/hr, commensurate with experience
- This is an hourly contract role. No paid time off (PTO) is included.
- Benefits are available on a contributory basis
