Overview
The ideal candidate will have the ambition and capability to grow this role into a future Executive-Level position. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner(s), the Director of Finance and Administration will oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual corporate financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income (P&L) Statement, Cash Flow Reports, and Forecast-to-Actual Comparisons.
Core accounting responsibilities include:
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Annual tax preparation coordination
- Creation of ad-hoc/manual financial reports
- Oversight, support, and escalation guidance for internal admin/accounting staff
This role also provides oversight of HR Administration. The company utilizes a third-party payroll and benefits provider to manage payroll, benefits, and multi-state/federal regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Skills:
- B.S. in Accounting or equivalent financial education
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency/expertise with QuickBooks Online
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with HR practices and regulatory compliance
- ConnectWise proficiency preferred but not required
Characteristics & Experience:
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
- 15 years of post-graduate experience in a professional business environment
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with a small team while upholding a high level of professionalism
- Hands-on approach and willingness to dive into both strategic and tactical responsibilities
- This is an in-office role located in Greensboro, NC
Compensation
Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000
