OKTA Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical liaison between identity services and senior IT leadership
• Design and implement Okta architecture, workflows, custom connectors, and integration frameworks
• Oversee SSO and provisioning integrations for a large application portfolio
• Lead incident/problem management with root cause analysis
• Drive access governance, compliance, and security certification campaigns
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with offshore teams
• Support ITIL-aligned processes (Change, Incident, Problem, Release Management)
• Present service metrics and strategic recommendations to executives

Required Qualifications

Technical:

• 8-10 years hands-on enterprise IAM experience
• Deep expertise in Okta Identity Cloud (SSO, MFA, Workflows, Lifecycle Management, APIs)
• Experience managing Okta for thousands of users
• Strong knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM, LDAP
• Identity governance: RBAC, access certification, SoD, provisioning
• Scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)

Leadership & Communication:

• Exceptional stakeholder management with senior leadership
• Strong presentation and executive communication skills
• Ability to serve as primary point of contact for critical services
• Experience providing technical direction and mentorship

Operational:

• ITIL process knowledge (Incident, Problem, Change, Release)
• SLA/KPI monitoring and reporting experience
• Background in vendor-to-in-house transition projects (preferred)
• Experience working with offshore/India-based teams (highly preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Okta certifications (Okta Certified Professional/Administrator)
• AWS and/or Azure identity integration experience
• ITIL Foundation, CISSP, or CISM certifications
• Entertainment/media industry background
• Local to LA area with established professional network
