OKTA Technical Lead
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary technical liaison between identity services and senior IT leadership
- Design and implement Okta architecture, workflows, custom connectors, and integration frameworks
- Oversee SSO and provisioning integrations for a large application portfolio
- Lead incident/problem management with root cause analysis
- Drive access governance, compliance, and security certification campaigns
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with offshore teams
- Support ITIL-aligned processes (Change, Incident, Problem, Release Management)
- Present service metrics and strategic recommendations to executives
Required Qualifications
Technical:
- 8-10 years hands-on enterprise IAM experience
- Deep expertise in Okta Identity Cloud (SSO, MFA, Workflows, Lifecycle Management, APIs)
- Experience managing Okta for thousands of users
- Strong knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM, LDAP
- Identity governance: RBAC, access certification, SoD, provisioning
- Scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)
Leadership & Communication:
- Exceptional stakeholder management with senior leadership
- Strong presentation and executive communication skills
- Ability to serve as primary point of contact for critical services
- Experience providing technical direction and mentorship
Operational:
- ITIL process knowledge (Incident, Problem, Change, Release)
- SLA/KPI monitoring and reporting experience
- Background in vendor-to-in-house transition projects (preferred)
- Experience working with offshore/India-based teams (highly preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Okta certifications (Okta Certified Professional/Administrator)
- AWS and/or Azure identity integration experience
- ITIL Foundation, CISSP, or CISM certifications
- Entertainment/media industry background
- Local to LA area with established professional network
