Job description:
We are looking for a Professional willing to join our Technical Services department, in particular, the team dedicated to Melt Shops technologies.
The candidate should have a strong motivation to work within an international and challenging environment. You will carry on the following activities:
* Mainly generate accurate 2D drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD.
* Produce 2D drawings from sketches.
* Generate 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
* Calculate weights and locate center of gravity of parts and assemblies.
* Generate accurate Bill of Materials and parts list.
* Apply dimensions, tolerances, fits, weld symbols, and surface finish requirements.
* Generate layouts, general arrangements, fabrication and assembly drawings.
* Revise drawings based on engineering comments and marked up documents.
* Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models to be used in technical proposals.
Required profile:
* Associate degree, technical diploma, or vocational certification in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Design Technology, CAD Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant drafting experience.
* At least 5 years of relevant drafting experience.
* Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D software.
* Proficient in Autodesk Inventor 3D software.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
* Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization.
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Preferred Skills or Experience:
* Experience working for an engineering company.
* Experience directly related to the steel industry is a plus.
* Spanish speaking would be beneficial.
