Energy focused Investment banking firm seeking a Financial Analyst/Associate to support the continued growth of our finance team.

 

The Energy Investment Banking Group is primarily responsible for developing, structuring, and executing a broad range of advisory assignments and financial transactions. Our focus is on the energy sector with expertise in A&D, power/infrastructure M&A, private financings, joint ventures, and valuation services.


TenOaks Energy Advisors and RedOaks Energy Advisors have successfully completed over 400 middle-market transactions representing billions of dollars in transaction value. You will be joining an elite group of advisors focused on delivering best in class execution to our clients.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Take a lead role in the development of marketing materials for sales or financings
  • Develop, produce and deliver proposals and presentations to clients and prospects, which exhibit broad knowledge of IB product solutions and underlying components.
  • Actively participate in drafting sessions and due diligence meetings
  • Contribute to valuation analyses and other financial models
  • Conduct industry research and analysis to assist in the identification and/or analysis of investment banking business opportunities
  • Prepare industry and financial analysis to determine client recommendations
  • Assist in completing comparable public company, precedent transaction, and other valuation analyses
  • Coordinate and participate in calls and meetings with clients and potential buyers

 

Candidate Skills/Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelors Degree (finance, accounting, economics, or business preferred)
  • Experience as a Financial Analyst (for Associate)
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to share knowledge and encourage others
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to tackle any project
  • Extreme curiosity to learn and develop both skills and knowledge
  • Excellent analytical ability, including valuation techniques and practices
  • Comfortable with and understanding of mathematical concepts (Top grades in college in accounting, calculus, statistics)
  • Experience preparing high quality client deliverable documents and presentations preferred
  • Extreme dedication and motivation; must be capable of assuming significant levels of responsibility for assignments to be completed within short time frames, both collaboratively and independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills to effectively convey ideas and information and actively participate in developing and maintaining productive client relationships
  • Extraordinarily high level of focus on work quality and attention to detail
  • Well-developed organizational skills to respond to shifting priorities on several simultaneous projects
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks, and manage expectations of senior bankers
  • Calm in the face of a storm or adversity
  • Digitally savvy, seeking out innovative solutions and embracing evolving technologies
  • Comfortable utiliizing AI tools
