We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for performing welding operations using MIG welding techniques. This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding operations according to specifications and codes standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG welders
- Prepare workpieces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting materials
- Assemble and tack weld parts prior to full welding
- Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards
- Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions
- Perform basic math calculations to determine material requirements and dimensions
- Assist with other tasks in the fabrication process, such as machining or forklift operation
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder
- Proficient in stick welding techniques
- Strong understanding of welding principles and techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
- Basic math skills for calculations related to material requirements and dimensions
- Experience in assembly and fabrication processes
- Ability to lift heavy objects
