Job Summary
This position plans and executes work with minimal supervision, independently performs assignments with instructions as to the general results expected.
Monitoring/Tracking
Track and update progress, variances, key performance indicators, and control changes
Analyze cost and schedule trends compared to baselines; review and make recommendations to improve project performance to management
Implement standard methods for project performance monitoring, reporting, analysis, trend assessment, scheduling, and estimating
Implement TVA and business unit processes and procedures
Communicate cross-functionally to collect and input data into PM tools and software
Reporting
Prepare, coordinate, review and distribute project and/or work management reports; including but not limited to progress reports, financial reports, and risk reports
Project Administration
Document project progress and changes, forecast project cost and schedule impacts, and communicate progress updates and projections to team members
Participate in project prioritization
Supports processes including change requests, lessons learned, work authorization, work management, and process improvement
Helps develop project and Portfolio Business Planning Budgets
Ensure effective project controls are in place to manage project cost, schedule, scope, risk, milestones, etc.
Monthly forecasting and financial submittals, including but not limited to preparing and submitting accruals to financial services monthly, journal vouchers etc.
Participate in and support project meetings and reviews as required
Coordinate with Fixed Assets Accounting to determine classification for project work orders
Support development, implementation and monitoring of purchase agreements and expenditures
Develop and update schedule and cost in appropriate project management tools
Supports seasonal and long-range planning
Prepare schedule scenarios and project benefit analysis
Provides field support at respective sites during projects & interfaces with engineering, plant, project, contractor & partners on a continuous basis
Project Initiation/Closure
Assist with project planning, initiation, funding requests and closure; utilizing project management software and tools
Prepare project approval packages and all associated documentation
Supervision Received
Supervision and guidance are provided by the first-line manager and are generally limited to overall objectives. The incumbent plans and executes the work with minimal supervision.
Independently performs assignments with instructions as to the general results expected. Receives technical or business alignment guidance on unusual or complex problems.

Proficient in project control concepts, methodology, techniques, scheduling and cost engineering practices
Competent at performance analysis, business planning, budgeting, economic analysis, cost control, forecasting, etc
Capable of effective communication
Proficient with work management software (i.e., Primavera, Maximo, PowerPlan, C55) & PC software (i.e., MS Office)
Skilled in TVA business, budgetary, financial, & workforce planning processes
Capable of in-depth problem solving and analysis
Proficient at resource loading and allocation, cost, schedule integration, and risk management
Understanding of relevant TVA SPPs, processes, and guidance documents

Education and Experience/Certificates, Licenses, and Registration Requirements/Other Requirements
Basic Education Requirements
Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, Accounting, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Marketing or other related degree three (3) years minimum of related work experience
OR high school diploma/GED and five (5) years minimum of related work experience
Desired Education Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, Accounting, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Marketing or other related degree; and three (3) years of related work experience
Applicant should meet requirements above. If selected, candidate may be required to complete the TVA PCS progression plan (or a portion of).. Certification by Project Management Institute or AACE is desired. Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted plant access and medical qualifications when applicable. If applicable, must be able and willing to assume “on call” rotational assignments which may include 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week availability depending on demands. When necessary, must be willing and medically able to work rotating shifts and maximum overtime permitted by procedures during peak periods. Likewise, must be able and willing to travel to plant/field locations as required when performing assigned tasks and, as necessary, to be temporarily assigned to a field location.
