Duties
Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
Perform various laboratory tests and procedures
Administer medications and treatments to animals as directed by veterinarians
Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
Monitor and record vital signs of animals
Provide post-operative care and monitoring to animals
Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
Maintain accurate medical records for all animals
Experience:
Prefer 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Vet Tech.
Proficient in aseptic technique and veterinary critical care
Knowledge of dog training and behavior management
Experience working in a laboratory setting and setting up diagnostic tests
Strong animal handling skills
Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
Knowledge of veterinary procedures, including IV catheterization and administering injections
