To assist in processing a timely and accurate payroll for employees at Tennessee Tech University.

Essential Functions

To assist in monitoring and processing earnings to include supplemental earnings and costing data. To assist with processing employee deductions as needed. To assist in running payroll payment processes and tax remittances, recording necessary journal entries. To assist with payroll reconciliations as needed. To assist with communication and explanations of pay with employees, managers, and staff.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma with at least five years of related professional experience or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with at least three years of related professional experience. Mathematical, analytical, organizational and communication skills. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with processing payroll.

Work Hours

Typical hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm.

Compensation And Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Pay grade 11. Benefits Information

Benefits include the accumulation of two vacation days per month and one sick leave day per month, and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits.
