The Lodge at Henry Horton State Park offers a full-service restaurant, lounge, and catering facilities. The Lodge is in Chapel Hill, Tennessee, and is a preferred destination for business meetings and conferences as well as a vacation destination for families.
This position is responsible for the cleaning duties of the kitchen, including cleaning and disinfecting all dishes, and cooking equipment. The preferred candidate will have knowledge of commercial kitchens and experience in operating a dish machine and cleaning practices within a high-volume kitchen operation. Candidates should have the ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities. Candidates must be able to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects such as kitchen equipment. A ServSafe certification is required for this position within 90 days of employment. The position requires work on weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. Hours may vary from 20-30 hours per week.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and functional kitchen that exceeds the Department of Health expectations.
- Operate a variety of commercial grade dish washing machines.
- Sort and safely store all cleaned china, glassware, and silverware, maintaining its sanitation and minimizing breakage.
- Clean kitchen floors and surfaces during and after shifts.
- May routinely assist kitchen and restaurant staff in preparation by fetching, lifting, carrying, and performing other unskilled tasks.
- Assist with periodic china, glassware, and silver inventories when scheduled.
- May assist with food storage and and inventory management of food and simple food preparation.
