What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric LPN position at Tennessee Pediatrics?
Opening for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse in a busy, multi-provider pediatric practice.
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and clean treatment rooms before and after patient exams
Obtain vitals and interview patients/care-givers to obtain medical history, pertinent information
Record information in the electronic health record
Perform blood draws and collect specimens for labs
Enter information and send out lab specimens appropriately
Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
Properly dispose of contaminated supplies
Administer vaccines and other injections
Assist physicians with exams
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Licensed Practical Nurse
Minimum 1-year experience
Up-to-date CPR certification
Skills
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of EMR, experience with Athena One is a plus
Ability to communicate effectively with other staff and work as a team
Attention to detail
Punctuality is a must
