Position Note: This is an orthopaedic float position. The employee will provide coverage and support across the Columbia, Lawrenceburg, and Spring Hill clinic locations based on operational and staffing needs. Travel between these locations is a requirement of the position.

Our Cast Technician plays an important role in the overall care and services to our patients. TOA has a fast-paced environment that provides the right candidate excellent opportunities to help patients and build a career with one of the largest orthopaedic practices in Tennessee.

Responsibilities

  • Apply, adjust, and remove fiberglass/plaster casts and splints as directed by a physician or physician assistant
  • Inspect and adjust bandages and equipment
  • Provide patient instructions on cast/splint care
  • Maintain, clean, package, and sterilize surgical instruments used in the office
  • Assist with administering and applying durable medical equipment when needed
  • Clean and stock cast and procedure rooms
  • DME precerts

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, college education or trade school preferred
  • Orthopaedic Technician experience is preferred
  • Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within an orthopaedic office
  • Casting experience is preferred
  • Minimum basic knowledge of anatomy is needed
  • Exceptional customer service and patient focus.
