Responsibilities:
- Copy insurance cards.
- Verify insurance information is complete and correct. Update if not.
- Update all patient information every year, verifying all is correct or updating.
- Collect co-pays and balances.
- Scan all documentation into patient charts.
- Complete and balance deposit slips, and cash drawer at the end of the day.
- Assist in answering phones.
- Schedule patent follow-up appointments.
- Schedule patient for testing.
- Send testing appointments that require prior authorization to billing.
Qualifications:
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Self-directed and manages time well.
- Effective computer and various medical software skills.
- Understanding of basic industry-specific policies, such as HIPAA, etc.
