Summary
The Regional Accounting team at Tennessee Farmers Co-op is hiring a Staff Accountant based in the LaVergne office. This role supports financial operations by reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements and budgets, and maintaining accurate ledgers while collaborating with member Co-ops and internal teams. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related field), 2–4 years of experience, and strong Microsoft Office skills.

- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- Two to four years related experience, preferred
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, with advanced Excel skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reconcile bank statements, clearing and variance accounts, prepare operating statements, balance sheets and margin analysis statements.
- Responsibilities to post general ledger adjustments, accounts payable and accounts receivable adjustments.
- Assists in maintaining and reconciling accurate general ledger and sub-ledger balances.
- Prepare the budgets, review and evaluate performance compared to the budgets.
- Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
- Assists in performance evaluation, cost management, and asset management.
- Responsible for providing outstanding customer service to all TFC employees, Member Cooperatives and outside contacts.
- Must manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines.
- Other accounting duties as assigned.
