Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and three years of IT-related experience OR associate's degree and five years of IT-related experience.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Additional IT-related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis up to four years.
Necessary Special Qualifications:
Under general supervision, the IT Business Administrator-Advanced manages and coordinates complex IT business functions including procurement, contract administration, risk management, budgeting, and records retention. This role serves as a subject matter expert in IT policy implementation, asset lifecycle tracking, and financial compliance while providing recommendations and analysis to leadership. This class differs from the IT Business Administrator-Intermediate class in that an incumbent of the latter performs general duties and can work independently or strongly contribute to team efforts relative to IT administrative tasks; work requires minimal review prior to being considered presentable to upper management. This class differs from the IT Business Administrator-Lead class in that an incumbent of the latter leads or supervises staff and/or teams in carrying out IT administrative deliverables, along with reviewing the work of team members for accuracy and completeness.

Responsibilities
- Develops project proposals and gathers requirements for statewide information systems planning.
- Monitors and tracks expenditures, performs cost-benefit analysis, and ensures compliance with budgeting standards.

- Reviews bids, contracts, and vendor information for IT-related procurements and renewals.
- Coordinates asset lifecycle tracking including reconciliation, inventory, and disposal planning.
