Job Overview
- The Tennessee Department of Health is seeking a Medical Doctor to serve as Regional Medical Director in the East TN Region in Knoxville, TN.
- The East TN Regional Medical Director oversees and supports the regional health services of 15 local health departments and a mobile clinic.
- Programs include primary care, vaccine programs,
- STD clinics, family planning and more.
- This leadership position provides oversight to local physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and others.
- This position reports to the State Medical Director and is part of Community Health Services division.
- Key Responsibilities: Cultivates a climate of excellence, trust, and compassion.
- Remains up to date on best practices in medicine with focus on patient-centered care.
- Collaborates with other regional, metropolitan, and state leaders to implement improvements in access to care.
- Active leader in clinical staffing,
- Seeing patients one day per week.
