Accounts Receivable Clerk Part Time

Job Summary:

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Harriman is one of the 23 post-secondary technical colleges and institutions in Tennessee's College System, governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents. Responsibilities include processing, tracking, and recording payments accurately, efficiently, and on time, in compliance with TBR and federal policies and standards.

Minimum Qualification:

· An associate degree or higher

· Four or more years of successful full-time paid employment in an accounting field, including experience with maintaining or reviewing financial records and reconciling accounts.

· Must have the ability to multitask with good organization and planning skills.

· Excellent oral, written, and computer skills required.

· Good math skills and attention to detail.

· Banner experience preferred.

Salary:

Commensurate with education, experience, and according to salary guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.

Preferred criteria:

· Perform Accounts Receivable transactions for the college.

· Monitor/screen invoices and forward to the Accounts Payable clerk.

· Create third-party contracts in Banner for students sponsored by agencies and corresponding invoices.

· Prepare and submit student refunds through Banner.

· Monitor/maintain student receivables.

· Maintain strict confidentiality as it relates to the financial information, employee information, student records, student financial aid, state and federal reports, and any other information generated for the Business Office and the Tennessee College of Applied Technology, Harriman.

· Assist the HR/Fiscal Services Coordinator with various analyses, reports, and duties.

· Reconcile and track monthly bookstore sales.

· Close all cashier sessions daily for applicable staff.

· Communicate with students with professionalism and confidentiality regarding account balances per TBR policy.

· Maintain accurate and organized records of all A/R transactions.

· Ensure compliance with FERPA, internal policies, and financial reporting standards.

· Maintain accurate records of student accounts and perform regular aging analysis.

· Collections of outstanding student debts.

· Local travel as required to complete duties

· May perform other duties as assigned.
