Title : Temporary - Instructional Assistant, Surgical Technology (Pool)POSITION SUMMARYThis position provides instructional assistance and support in the surgical technology program.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises and evaluates clinical students. Assists instructor with laboratory training. Assists with coordinating and supervising laboratory exercises. Evaluates laboratory students. Maintains inventory of laboratory equipmentREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSAssociate's degreeCurrent NCCA-accredited certification in surgical technologyPrior experience as a surgical technologist or surgical technologist educatorPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAAS in Surgical Technology from a nationally accredited programTwo (2) years of experience as a surgical technologist or surgical technologist educatorKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge of and / or experience with a variety of instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population.
