Position Summary: To perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. To provide maintenance/custodial support for campus as assigned.
Essential Functions
70% Perform general building maintenance and repair involving carpentry, painting, plumbing, flooring, tile, electrical and cubical installation and break down. The maintenance worker supports the staff and faculty in the college by providing a clean, safe, and functional environment in which to work and learn.
10% Move furniture and other equipment such as portable platforms, man-lift, pianos, and incubators. Assist Shipping/Receiving to deliver equipment and supplies to other campuses with 16? or 26? box truck. Assist Grounds in doing snow removal and applying ice melt chemical to sidewalks when needed. Assist EH&S Manager in removing bio-hazard waste and storing for proper disposal. Assist EH&S Manager in all campus emergency drills.
10% Set-up tables and PSCC display on and off campus for special functions.
10% Performs various custodial tasks.

Job Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. Minimum of three years? experience in building maintenance that can be on the job experience to include training in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and/or other building trades, with 5 years preferred.
Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.
Skills/Abilities
Hazards: Extreme heat and cold as well as dirty conditions like dust, working at heights above 30 feet. Blood borne pathogens, electrical shock, back injury, chemical burns, loss of appendages, chemical fumes, bomb threats, falling from ladders, crushed hand, foot or other body parts.
