What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Manager position at Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR)?
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Three years of experience working in compliance, accessibility coordination, or financial operations in higher education.
- Knowledge of ADA, Section 504, FERPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Evidence of excellent communication, computer and customer service skills. Must be able to communicate sensitive and/or complex information in a confidential and straightforward manner.
- Must possess a high level of accuracy, self-motivation, and strong attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to handle a heavy workload and multi-task.
- Familiarity with academic environment, policies and procedures, knowledge of Banner preferred.
- Monitor and ensure institutional compliance with ADA, Section 504, and other accessibility-related regulations.
- Serve as the Disability Services Contact and Accessibility Chair for the institution.
- Collaborate with academic and student services departments to implement inclusive practices and accessible learning environments.
- Conduct regular audits of facilities, digital platforms, and instructional materials for accessibility.
- Provide training and resources to faculty and staff on accessibility standards and accommodations.
- Manage student billing, payment plans, and collections in accordance with institutional policies.
- Reconcile accounts receivable records and prepare financial reports.
- Coordinate with financial aid to ensure accurate student account data.
- Assist in developing and enforcing procedures for overdue accounts and debt recovery.
- Assist Title VI and Title IX coordinator with compliance.
- Manage compliance documentation, including contracts, agreements, and required reports.
- Maintain documentation and prepare reports for compliance, audits, and regulatory agencies.
- Other duties assigned by the President and Vice Presidents.
