Position Summary
The overall purpose of this position is to provide non-clinical case management support to students experiencing non-academic barriers that may impact their academic success, retention, and completion. This role responds to student referrals, conducts basic needs assessments, connects students to campus and community resources, and supports Student Care and Advocacy initiatives related to food insecurity, housing instability, and other essential needs.

- If you are a PSCC Student and eligible for the Student Employment Program, you will be paid on experience and the rates are $14.00 (no experience), $15.00 (6 months experience) and $16.00 (9 months experience)*.

This role responds to student referrals, conducts basic needs assessments, connects students to campus and community resources, and supports Student Care and Advocacy initiatives related to food insecurity, housing instability, and other essential needs.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Respond to student referrals from faculty, staff, and systems such as Navigate
- Conduct intake conversations and basic needs screenings to assess student needs
- Develop and implement action plans to connect students with appropriate resources
- Refer students to campus services (e.g., financial aid, counseling, disability services)
- Connect students with community resources (e.g., housing, food, transportation, childcare)
- Maintain regular follow-up with students to monitor progress and engagement
- Document interactions and outcomes in case management systems (e.g., Navigate)
- Assist with day-to-day pantry operations
- Participate in the development and implementation of outreach activities such as resource fairs, orientations, and campus events
- Promote Student Care and Advocacy services to students, faculty, and staff
- Collaborate with campus partners to support student success
- Assist with data tracking and reporting related to student cases and services
- Support departmental projects and initiatives
- Monitor SCA general email box
- Assist with the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of student employees and student interns from other colleges and universities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field
- Experience working with individuals in a helping, advising, or case management role
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field
