Position Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring excellent customer service, effective teamwork, and strong leadership. This role is responsible for supervision and support of all frontline retail banking and customer service functions. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while adhering to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Work with Retail Banking Director to develop marketing and community outreach initiatives to increase business growth and Patriot Bank’s visibility in the community.
- Open and process new demand, savings and time deposit accounts, including but not limited to, checking, savings, CDs, money market accounts and IRAs, obtaining all required documentation and reports.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all financial products and services offered. Promote and cross-sell these products and services to current and potential customers.
- Maintain appropriate files and records. Develop and prepare reports relating to duties or projects assigned.
- Responsible for leadership and supervision of all assigned branch personnel, including scheduling, evaluations, and managing personnel issues.
- Coach, train, and develop employees to help ensure their success in current and future positions with Patriot Bank.
- Provide administrative and operational support as needed to staff, serving as backup to Tellers and CSRs when necessary.
- Communicate policy, procedures, personnel, operational, compliance, and security matters to branch team, ensuring understanding
- Assist tellers with check cashing approval, complex transactions, customer service issues, and problem resolution as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor and/or senior management.
- Proven leadership abilities that align with Patriot Bank’s mission, vision, and values. Able to effectively lead, mentor, train, and handle disciplinary matters. Leadership experience in a retail bank setting preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and practices, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism at all times, both in communication and presentation, as a representative of Patriot Bank.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree or higher in finance, business, or related area preferred.
- 3-5 years of banking experience, including customer service and cash handling.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a bank setting.
