Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our travel teaching academy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music, particularly in piano instruction, and a genuine love for teaching students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans and fostering a warm learning environment balanced with helping students develop their musical skills. Must be able to commute to Brentwood, Franklin, and Nolensville, TN. Monday-Friday Availability 3pm-7pm preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive to students' homes for lessons. A reliable vehicle is required.
- Develop and implement sequential lesson plans tailored to each student's skill level and learning style.
- Teach fundamental piano techniques, music theory, and sight-reading skills.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student growth and confidence.
- Communicate well with parents the expectations and coordinate scheduling.
- Prepare students for recitals and showcases.
- Participate in continued education to learn new teaching methods, curriculum development, and advancements in music education.
Experience
Candidates should possess some or all of the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in teaching piano or music education is preferred.
- A degree in music is desired, but not required.
- Skills in curriculum development to create effective lesson plans
- A desire to teach piano.
