POSITION SUMMARY:
Position is responsible for purchasing and evaluating repair parts along with maintaining close relationships with vendors to continuously improve and lower company costs. This position also requires a large concentration of time performing research and development for the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CRITICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Position is responsible for purchasing and evaluating repair parts along with maintaining close relationships with vendors to continuously improve and lower company costs. This position also requires a large concentration of time performing research and development for the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- PM System in SAP – oversee inputting of machinery, creation of PM schedules, etc.
- Research and Development of parts and equipment
- Maintain maintenance crib
- Work closely with vendors to purchase best quality parts at the best price
- Maintain keys and security records
- File and maintain Maintenance PM records.
- Maintain database for the “Asset Management Program”
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with the scheduling of the “Top Ten List”.
- Help chart the Maintenance measurables for BOS.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager lead the Maintenance and Set-Up teams with Lean principles, Quick Change Technology, Total Predictive Maintenance, Cell Design, and 5 S.
- Employee must perform his/her job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks and applicable work instructions.
- Overtime as required/requested.
- Asset Management (Asset tracking and record keeping)
- Maintain records for standardization of parts
- Help maintain maintenance library (manuals/prints)
CRITICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred 2-year technical degree
- Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience
- Knowledge and understanding of OSHA guidelines
- Must be able to troubleshoot machinery
- Must have proficient blueprint reading skills
- Must be able to read electrical schematics
- Must be able to read hydraulic prints
- Office environment – includes, but not limited to, artificial lighting, computers, telephones, desks, temperature controlled.
- Manufacturing environment – includes, but not limited to, artificial lighting, machine/equipment noise, some welding exhaust, non-controlled temperatures, and PPE required.
- Some travel which could include an overnight stay.
- Ability to sit frequently for extended periods of time.
- Ability to move about the plant in both the office and manufacturing areas.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
- Manual dexterity for computer work.
- Ability to communicate in an effective manner.
- Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.
