Tenlight Energy sells commercial HVAC upgrades funded through utility incentive programs
(Small Business Direct Install). Projects are typically large-ticket, with 60–80% of the cost
covered by incentives.
This is a full-cycle sales role. You are responsible for sourcing opportunities, advancing
deals, and closing business. You will coordinate with internal engineering and operations
teams for technical evaluations and project execution.
This is not a base salary role. It is designed for experienced closers who want high income
potential tied directly to performance.
Compensation
- 5% commission on closed deals
- 2.5% paid at project approval
- 2.5% paid at project completion (final incentive payment)
- Uncapped earnings
Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop your own pipeline (field-based)
- Identify HVAC upgrade opportunities in commercial facilities
- Engage owners, landlords, and decision-makers
- Coordinate site assessments with internal teams
- Drive the sales process from first contact through signed agreement
- Maintain deal ownership through project approval and closeout
Requirements
- Proven experience closing deals (HVAC, mechanical, construction, or similar preferred)
- Comfortable owning a full sales cycle without technical execution responsibilities
- Ability to generate your own opportunities
- Strong in-person sales capability
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
