What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Full-Stack Engineer position at TENET Intelligence?
We are Ben and John.
Ben engineered TENET’s multi-agent intelligence platform, bringing strategy and finance rigor from McKinsey, the UN executive office, and Goldman Sachs M&A. He built the technology, the team, and the business model.
John spent 22 years in the DoD: combat pilot, DIA diplomat in Germany, managed $30B in foreign military sales at SAF/IA, and drove 9-figure IT transformations at Xerox/Conduent. He understands how the DoD and primes actually operate.
The Traction: Together, we have built a >$10M pipeline across U.S. and Allied agencies. We are backed by advisors including a former DIA Acting Director, NATO SACEUR, U.S. Ambassador, and CIA tradecraft authors. The tech works (TRL 3–6); the mission has traction.
TENET Intelligence builds cognitive architecture for the U.S. and Allied sphere: IC, defense, and diplomacy.
TENET's mission is to give the U.S. and its Allies an unfair advantage through superior intelligence.
We require a full-stack engineer to convert early traction into a secure, production-grade product.
This means: FedRAMP and DoD IL5-6 compliant systems.
That means: only U.S. citizens eligible for Secret and TS/SCI clearance are permitted, which is non-negotiable.
You will write the foundational code that determines mission outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Full-Stack Applications: From defense, diplomatic, and private sector use cases that are AI-enabled and flexible interfaces.
- Core Architecture: Build and ship the secure backbone: ingestion, data modeling, APIs, and user interfaces.
- Security & Compliance: Design for auditability, access control, encryption, and reliability from day one (NIST/FedRAMP/DoD SRG standards).
- Integration: Integrate analytic and language-model components inside controlled environments.
- Deployment: Manage the transition from prototype to deployed environment.
- Integrity.
- 4-10 years building end-to-end systems; comfortable owning architecture, code, and deployment.
- Experience with open-source intelligence, defense analytics, or secure government systems.
- Experience with overlapping tech stack (e.g., KG, TS, AWS/GCP).
- U.S. Citizen, clearable to TS.
- Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid).
- Industry standard equity salary.
- Option: Start as fractional, converting to full-time.
