Role Overview

As the Senior Resource Manager, you will oversee all US resourcing needs for Teneo's US Strategy & Communications team. You will be responsible for allocating talent, building high-performing integrated client teams, optimizing utilization and supporting employee growth – all while driving business performance through strategic, data-driven resourcing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the professional services or advisory landscape, excellent relationship management skills, and a passion for building effective teams and connecting people with opportunities that advance both career growth and client success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the centralized resourcing process for Teneo’s US S&C business, ensuring balanced, efficient, and strategic staffing decisions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each of Teneo’s advisory disciplines — including corporate communications, investor relations, transactions and strategic situations, government and public affairs, social and digital communications, and more — to assemble cross functional, integrated, high-performing teams.
  • Partner closely with US S&C COO, practice area leaders and Finance and People teams to assess pipeline, skillsets, capacity, and priorities.
  • Advise senior leaders and account teams on staffing solutions, resolving resourcing conflicts and managing competing priorities.
  • Maintain an up-to-date view of employee availability, utilization, and talent profiles across the business.
  • Support the onboarding of new hires and manage transitions between projects or practices.
  • Liaise with global teams to support multi-office projects, leverage talent across regions when needed.
  • Analyze resourcing data to identify trends, forecast needs, and deliver actionable insights to senior management.
  • Use staffing data to inform career pathing, performance reviews, and promotion cycles.
  • Identify skill gaps and training needs across the business and collaborate with management and the People Team to address them.
  • Serve as a key contact for team members regarding assignments, workload, and professional development goals.

Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in resource management, workforce planning, or talent operations, ideally within a consultancy, agency, or professional services firm.
  • Experience in the advisory and/or communications industry is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performance staffing and capacity planning functions.
  • Proven ability to balance competing priorities and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business judgment, analytical acumen, and structured problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to inform decisions and drive operational efficiency.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality service in a professional services setting where responsiveness is essential, including outside standard business hours as client needs require.
  • Proficiency in resourcing or workforce planning tools and systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
