Female compassionate Night Caregiver or Live-In Caregiver to provide essential support and care to 6 seniors requiring overnight assistance. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of residents during nighttime hours. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, assisted living, or home and community care environments, with a focus on delivering high-quality personal and medical support. Responsibilities
- Monitor residents throughout the night to ensure safety and respond promptly to any emergencies or needs. live in you will be working 7 days on and 7 days off, ( salary based) if hourly night ,you will work 5 days on and 8-9 days off, 6PM-9-10 AM
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document medication administration using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Observe and record vital signs, behavioral changes, and health status to communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or memory care needs by implementing behavior management strategies.
- Prepare nutritious meals or snacks as needed while adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light cleaning duties consistent with home care standards.
- Support residents’ social engagement and emotional well-being through compassionate interaction and activity facilitation.
- Document incidents, care activities, and observations thoroughly to ensure continuity of care.
Experience
- Prior experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, retirement homes, AFC or personal care homes is highly desirable.
- Proven background working with individuals with disabilities, developmental disabilities, or complex health conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments and home & community care practices.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration protocols, and emergency response procedures including first aid certification.
- Hands-on experience operating EMR systems for accurate documentation of care activities.
- Experience utilizing assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts for resident transfers safely and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage challenging behaviors through effective behavior management techniques while maintaining dignity and respect for residents.
