Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead 2 Year Old Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing the Frog Street Curriculum. Your role will involve managing the classroom, guiding students' behavior,helping children potty train and providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for learning and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for children
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and development
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
Skills:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective classroom management skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children on an individual level
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus
