Kennel Technician and Doggie Daycare Attendant

Tender Touch Pet Retreat and Spaw is looking for a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Kennel Technician and Doggie Daycare Attendant to join our team!

This position is perfect for someone who genuinely loves dogs, enjoys staying active, and takes pride in creating a safe, clean, and positive environment for every pet in our care.

As a Kennel Technician and Doggie Daycare Attendant, you will supervise dogs during daycare, monitor behavior and interactions, provide enrichment and play, and help maintain a clean and sanitary facility. Our kennel technicians and daycare attendants help ensure each dog has a fun, safe, and comfortable experience while their family is away.

Responsibilities Include:

• Closely supervise dogs during group play and daycare activities.
• Monitor canine body language, behavior, and interactions to help prevent unsafe situations.
• Encourage appropriate play and redirect unwanted behaviors when necessary.
• Provide enrichment, exercise, attention, and affection based on each dog's needs.
• Follow established procedures for introducing dogs and managing playgroups safely.
• Assist with feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, medications, or other routine care as directed.
• Communicate behavioral, physical, or health concerns to management.
• Clean and disinfect daycare areas, kennels, bowls, toys, floors, play equipment, and other pet-care spaces.
• Promptly clean accidents and maintain a clean, sanitary, odor-controlled environment.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and end-of-day cleaning responsibilities.
• Help maintain an organized, welcoming facility and take pride in the appearance and cleanliness of the workplace.
• Follow all company safety procedures and pet-handling policies.
• Work cooperatively with groomers, daycare staff, management, and other team members.
• Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with pet parents.
• Assist with other duties as needed to support the daily operation of Tender Touch Pet Retreat and Spaw.

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for someone who is reliable, observant, patient, hardworking, and comfortable working with dogs of different breeds, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Previous experience working with dogs is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for animal care.

Physical Requirements:

This is a physically active position that requires regularly moving throughout the daycare and pet-care areas; bending, reaching, and performing cleaning duties; safely handling and controlling dogs of various sizes and energy levels; and lifting, carrying, or assisting with pets, equipment, and supplies as required to perform the essential functions of the position. Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
