Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures in pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
- Support patients by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing questions to foster trust and ease anxiety.
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory, sterilize instruments, and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Collaborate with the dental team to implement four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of pediatric dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards.
- Familiarity with medical documentation, medical coding, and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience assisting with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and support the dental team.
- Must be dependable and on Time
Mondays-8:30-5:30, Tuesdays 8:30-6:30, Thursdays 8:30-5:00, Fridays 8:00-2:00,
$500.00 signing bonus after 6 months of employment.
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
