Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Montessori Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a stimulating classroom environment that promotes independence, curiosity, and a love for learning. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help guide children through their early developmental milestones, ensuring they receive the best possible foundation for future success.

Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing Montessori curriculum and lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, organized, and engaging learning environment.
  • Work closely with children to foster social-emotional skills, behavior management, and individualized learning needs.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and activities aligned with curriculum goals, including toddler care and preschool experiences.
  • Observe and document children's progress, communicating effectively with staff and parents about developmental milestones.
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other behavioral challenges, ensuring inclusive classroom participation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the classroom to promote a healthy learning environment.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Montessori principles, early childhood education practices, and childhood development theories.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, children, and parents.
  • Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and literacy or math education for early learners.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while supporting individual learning needs.
  • Familiarity with working with children with disabilities or special needs such as autism is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
