Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients’ developmental goals
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and toileting, to promote independence
- Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment plans
- Support teaching strategies that enhance communication, social skills, and behavioral management for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical records securely
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop, review, and update personalized care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Provide patient-centered care in a supportive environment that encourages growth, learning, and positive reinforcement
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable
- Familiarity with special education settings or teaching roles enhances your ability to support diverse learning needs
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation standards, and medical records management is beneficial
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining professionalism and patience in challenging situations
