Summary: As an In-Home Aide (IHA) / Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will provide essential support to individuals in their homes, focusing on personal care and daily living activities. Your role will involve implementing care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being. With core skills in long-term care and home community care, along with premium expertise in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), you will make significant impact in the lives of those you serve. Qualifications
- Treat client with respect and dignity
- Travel to client's home, and arriving on time
- Greet client in a warm, professional manner
- Understand the needs of the client
- Provide basic services e.g. laundry, folding and organizing, light housework, clean meal areas, light cooking, etc.
- Engage in conversation with the client
- Assist with mobility (simple exercises e.g. ambulation room to room, Passive / Active ROM, walking), etc.
- Medication reminders
- Help with personal hygiene e.g. bathing, brushing, toileting, "lotioning" ...
- Change bed linens regularly
- Clean client's room and bathroom
- Assist with all daily activities, based on the client’s limitations and needs
- Follow client's care plan
- Assist client to prevent any fall
- Provide a caring and positive presence for the client
- Document/log client’s progress and overall well being for daily reports
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
