Duties
- Implement landscape designs by planting native plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees with precision and care
- Maintain landscaped areas through, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, and watering to promote healthy growth
- Operate groundskeeping equipment such as power tools, trimmers efficiently and safely
- Identify plant species and diagnose issues related to pests or diseases using plant identification skills
- Manage pesticide application and pest control measures responsibly in accordance with safety regulations
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks including weeding, soil preparation, and planting beds upkeep
Requirements
- Proven experience with gardening, landscape maintenance
- Strong knowledge of horticulture practices including plant identification and growing techniques
- Hands-on experience operating groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as power tools and hand tools
- Familiarity with pesticide management, plant pest control, and sustainable gardening methods
- Ability to climb ladders or over rocky areas safely for pruning or planting tasks
- Excellent client communication skills to understand project needs and provide updates effectively
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions involving bending, lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
