Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care practices, including memory care, vital signs monitoring, and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when required.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to the healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, hospice care, or similar environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic health care practices.
- Ability to perform patient observation effectively.
- Experience with memory care techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Must be physically capable of lifting clients and performing necessary tasks related to patient care.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and documentation practices is beneficial.
