What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Security position at Tencent?
Responsibilities
● Operations and maintenance of Tencent Cloud's security related products including Firewall, WAF etc in North American region to ensure service's stability and reliability.
● Drive product deployment,upgrades and architecture optimization in region by deeply understanding security related products architecture and technical principles.
● Participate in the troubleshooting of products and customer problems ,resolve security problems in the region; drive a closed-loop system to manage product problems and customer problems.
● Ensure stable 24/7 system operation by building disaster recovery, monitoring, automation, and intelligent operations and maintenance systems.
● Responsible for the development of operations and maintenance platforms; continuously improve platform efficiency, design core operational metrics, and drive system optimization to enhance performance and stability.
Job Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related fields; 2 years of experience in large-scale system operations and maintenance, with hands-on experience in developing disaster recovery and monitoring systems.
● Proficient in common programming languages such as Shell, Python, or Golang; familiar with mainstream technologies such as Open-Falcon, Grafana, etc.
● Familiar with Linux operating systems and various network protocols.
● Able to work under pressure, with a strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills, and a solid team spirit.
● Capable of working independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $115,800 to $160,000 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
