Finishing Operator

1. Position:
1.1. Finishing Operator

2. Scope:
2.1. Responsible to operate twisters per the Standard Operating Procedures and ensure the line produces first
quality material.

3. Summary of Position:
3.1. Ensures production plans are achieved to meet customer requirements. Operates equipment to produce
material per established production processes and work orders. Ensure a culture of safety throughout the site by
adhering to all safety policies and procedures

4.1. Duties and Responsibilities:
4.1.1. Load and unload tubes onto buggy then into Alma.
4.1.2. String the Alma using a stringer in a timely manner.
4.1.3. Tie and doff from each Alma position on Alma belt.
4.1.4. Unload belt and inspect each tube; put an inspection sticker in every tube
4.1.5. Perform final quality review on all packaged yarn. Every tube must meet TenCate standards and have a
product label and inspection label
4.1.6. All belt tubes stacked neatly on skid.
4.1.7. Keep tubes labeled and put up on Alma
4.1.8. Keep work area clean
4.1.9. Tie correct knot and splice rolls as needed
4.2. Qualifications:
4.2.1. High School or GED required.
4.2.2. 6 months or more continuous experience in a manufacturing environment required.
4.2.3. Mechanical Aptitude.
4.2.4. Excellent attendance and punctuality.
4.2.5. Interactive skills to effectively work as part of team
4.2.6. Communicate effectively through verbal and written communication
4.2.7. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

5.1. None

 

6. Work Environment:

6.1. Due to the open environment, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include
extreme heat, humidity and cold.
6.2. This is an onsite job and is NOT remote. Regular and predictive attendance is mandatory.

7. Physical Demands:
7.1. Required to stand for long periods of time (12 hours shifts).
7.2. May involve repetitive motions.
7.3. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
7.4. May also engage in frequent bending stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling or parts and containers.
